Staple Hill Primary School is a happy, forward-looking school. We serve a community which is diverse both in terms of ethnicity and economic advantage. We cater for a wide range of additional needs and academic abilities within our pupil community. We have a deserved reputation as a welcoming and inclusive school. Our staff team is hard-working, collaborative and committed to giving all of our children the opportunities and skills they need to realise their potential.
We prioritise high academic standards and progress, equalities and inclusion, parental involvement, an engaging creative curriculum, pupil contribution and developing a wide range of opportunities for play.
We moved to a new purpose built school in September 2011. The new school is across the road from the old school site and the Nursery is still situated on the old site.
We seek to operate an “open door” policy, which means that we welcome children and adults alike to share concerns and worries. It is important that an appointment is sought wherever possible so that everyone gets an opportunity
to talk to us.
At Staple Hill we welcome our parents as partners so together we can promote high standards of work and behaviour. We also welcome your involvement in all areas of school life.
We have 11 classes plus 2 Nursery classes. We are a 315 intake school and we have three Year 5/6 classes, three Year 3/4 classes and three Year 1/2 classes. In each case we have one mixed age range class and two single age range classes. We also have two Reception classes. 48 pupils attend the Nursery on a part time basis.
This website will give you an overview
of the school but nothing beats talking - so if you
have any questions please either phone, send an email or come in and see us.
