The Friends of the School are very much friends of Staple Hill Primary. They are  mostly parents of children attending the school, ranging from Nursery to Juniors (but anyone is welcome to join them). They care about their children’s education and want to provide the necessary extras that make going to school interesting and much more fun; the little extras that the school budget just cannot reach. Musical instruments, educational visits, playground equipment, fundays, educational games computers, furnishings etc. Their chair is Katrine Green, and there are several other dedicated mums who gladly give up the odd half hour to support, help, and organise their fundraising events.  They sell Staple Hill Uniform on site, and organise cake sales, the Spring Fayre, discos and fun days. The teachers help and support the FOS as much as possible as well.

The FOS meet up on a regular basis, to chat and organise events and they are open to any suggestions for fundraising etc.  They desperately need more like minded parents/carers – firm friendships have been forged by being part of the FOS – it’s great so why not go along and give it a go!!!

Recently we have raised money for such things as:

• Musical Instruments
• Circus Skills Day - a brilliant day had by all, from nursery up to Year 6
• Dictionaries for the Leavers
• Refreshments for Sports Day and Sponsored Events
• Medals
• Furnishings
• Maths Games
• Boys Toilets in the Juniors

The FoS sell school uniform on site, Monday 9am and Friday 3pm - we also supply uniform via order forms.

We desperately need more help to organise the events. It's not a lifetime commitment, just half an hour here or there!
