Breakfast and After School Club

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is held on the school premises. It is for anyone who wishes to attend.  The aim is to provide a safe place for children before school begins and to ensure they have a choice of reasonably priced food to start the day.

What are the times of breakfast club?

Our breakfast club starts at 7.45am and we are open Monday to Friday during school term time.

We operate a strict and secure booking and payment system (through ARBOR).  Parents must hand their child over to a member of the Breakfast Club team, and not leave them unattended at the entrance to the school.

How much does breakfast club cost? £3.00 for childcare (3 staff in attendance) including breakfast.
What is the booking deadline for breakfast club sessions?

Bookings and payment in advance via the ARBOR App or Website:

We ask that you don’t turn up without advance booking, as it may result in you being turned away; we work on a strict supervision ratio for children to adults.

How are places allocated?

All bookings are made in advance as places are limited.

Places are allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

What happens if I need to cancel a session? This can be managed via the App or Website up to the previous day, alternatively contact the school office.
What will my child/ren receive for breakfast?

Food is served from 7.45-8.25am, a wide variety of traditional breakfast choices; please see the breakfast menu for further details.

Breakfast is optional and you may prefer your child/ren to have breakfast prior to attending the club.

Who will be looking after my child/ren?

Breakfast club is managed by school staff.

We work on a ratio above the legal requirement for the adult:children ratio.

There is always a minimum of two adults on duty at all times

What will my child/ren do at breakfast club?

We offer a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy: a fun daily-changing activity, colouring, puzzles, seasonal activities, art, educational games, storytelling, lego, top trumps… and we finish with a ‘wake & shake’ session.

Breakfast Club is a great time for children to socialise and make new friends, the older children often supporting and encouraging the younger ones!

What if my child/ren requires medication whilst at the club?

If your child is likely to require prescribed medication whilst attending breakfast club you must ensure that you have completed a ‘Request to Administer Medication’ form available from the school office.

Please also read our Managing Medical Needs policy which is on the school website.

How will my child/ren get to their class after breakfast club has finished? At 8.45am our staff will escort the children to their classrooms.
