Breakfast Club Booking Form

Bubble and Squeak Breakfast Menu

Breakfast club is held on the school premises. It is for anyone who wishes to attend and parents may come and join in too. The aim is to provide a safe place for children before school begins and to ensure they have a choice of reasonably priced food to start the day.

What are the times of breakfast club? Our breakfast club starts at 7.30am and we are open Monday to Friday during school term time.

We operate a strict and secure registration process and you must sign your child/ren in to the breakfast club each morning.

Y5 and Y6 children may sign themselves in.

How much does breakfast club cost? Payment must be made on the day:

·         £2.50 for children arriving between 7.30-8.00am

·         £1.50 for children arriving from 8.00am

·         There is no charge if you would like to stay with your child.

What is the booking deadline for breakfast club sessions? Places can only be allocated with a completed ‘Breakfast club booking’ form.

You can book regular days or we can take ‘one off’ bookings depending on the number of children already booked in.

We ask that you don’t turn up without advance booking, as it may result in you being turned away; we work on a strict supervision ratio for children to adults.

How are places allocated? All bookings are made in advance as places are limited.

Places are allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

What happens if I need to cancel a session? Please phone or email school promptly (preferably the day before), so that we have up to date information of the expected children.
What will my child/ren receive for breakfast? Food is served from 7.30-8.25am, a wide variety of traditional breakfast choices; please see the breakfast menu for further details and prices – to be paid for on the day.

Breakfast is optional and you may prefer your child/ren to have breakfast prior to attending the club.

Who will be looking after my child/ren? Breakfast club is managed by school staff.

We work on a ratio above the legal requirement for the adult:children ratio.

There is always a minimum of two adults on duty at all times

What will my child/ren do at breakfast club? We offer a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy: a fun daily-changing activity, colouring, puzzles, seasonal activities, art, educational games, storytelling, lego, top trumps… and we finish with a ‘wake & shake’ session.

Breakfast Club is a great time for children to socialise and make new friends, the older children often supporting and encouraging the younger ones!

What if my child/ren requires medication whilst at the club? If your child is likely to require prescribed medication whilst attending breakfast club you must ensure that you have completed a ‘Request to Administer Medication’ form available from the school office.

Please also read our Managing Medical Needs policy which is on the school website.

How will my child/ren get to their class after breakfast club has finished? At 8.45am our staff will escort the KS1 children to their classrooms; KS2 children are taken to the playground to line up – staff supervise the playground from 8.40am.
